Dimple Rao is one of the rare adventurers in India who balances work and life with perfect zeal. She is a hard core mountaineer and an International swimmer. She is also a senior media professional having worked for 14+ years in advertising and media planning Industry. Dimple has already climbed 4 of 7 summits. She has already waved Indian flag on highest mountain of South America (Mt. Aconcagua in Andes), North America (Mt. Denali in Alaska), Africa (Mt. Kilimanjaro) and Europe (Mt. Elbrus in Russia). She has also won National masters bronze in freestyle swimming in 2013 and participated in World Masters Championship in Kazan, Russia in 2015. Dimple has participated and successfully accomplished some of biggest endurance sea swimming competitions in 5kms and 10kms. Her zeal for health and fitness is par excellence. She also holds diploma in Basic and Advanced mountaineering from India’s premier Nehru Institute of Mountaineering. While not on expeditions, you can find her anywhere in Mumbai in waters or in Sahyadris exploring hills or other national parks.
