Dilip Puri is the founder of the Indian School of Hospitality (ISH), an institution of higher education focused on reshaping hospitality and culinary arts education for today’s generation and tomorrow’s industries.
ISH is located in Gurgaon, and currently offers undergraduate programs in both hospitality and culinary arts, as well as a shorter duration culinary programme. By early 2020, ISH will be launching more shorter duration programmes for executives and professionals looking to deepen their skills.
ISH holds an academic accreditation from Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL), the world’s oldest and top ranked hotel school, and boasts a fully Swiss trained faculty.
Formerly the Managing Director of Starwood Hotels and Resorts South Asia, Dilip has over three decades of experience in the hospitality industry and has worked with brands such as Oberoi, Taj, IHG, and Starwood in India, Australia, and Africa. Dilip has an economics degree from the University of Delhi, and completed his postgraduate studies at the Oberoi Centre of Learning and Development (OCLD).
Since the opening of the Indian School of Hospitality, Dilip has completed his Qualified Learning Facilitator (QLF) training at EHL, Switzerland, and is a member of the ISH faculty and a full-time industry mentor to students. One of the most renowned thought-leaders on hospitality and hospitality education, Dilip is a frequent speaker at education and hospitality conclaves, as well as being a regular columnist on hospitality, education and technology trends in some of the country’s largest publications.
