Dijana Madžarac has been active in the field of international relations, trade promotion and foreign direct investments since 2013. Prior to joining the Directorate of Internationalization, Entrepreneurship and Technology at the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology of the Republic of Slovenia she was the adviser to the Minister and the Head of International Relations and European Affairs’ Office at the same ministry. Her previous professional experience includes also positions in advising the Mayor of Maribor city on international relations, actively involved in some bilateral and multilateral associations and nonetheless running her own business, dealing with consulting services, trade missions, bilateral trade promotion, market entry etc. She has been active also in tourism sector. She worked as a cultural tourism coordinator in Maribor 2012 – European Capital of Culture and was a Council member of Maribor Tourist
Board and also a Council member of national Slovenian Tourist Board, appointed by the government. Dijana graduated at the Faculty of Arts in University of Maribor and later on finished her
postgraduate study at Doba Faculty of Applied Business and Social Studies where she focused on strategic approaches of some CEE countries in Belt and Road Initiative.
