Lina Christensen is a Danish goldsmith and jewelry designer. After she completed a jewellery apprenticeship in Denmark, she studied painting in the Parson School of Design in New York. She has since gone on to work as a designer for world renowned Georg Jensen Silver and developing her own contemporary jewelry collection. Her pieces draw inspiration from nature, the elements, other cultures and the intimate work of the hand. "I consider myself a gardener, I make my jewelry grow out of nature's pure materials”. Her work has been sold from the Louisiana Museum store, various art fairs in the US and in her own Galerie ‘TACTUS’ in Copenhagen. For the past 9 years she has collaborated with a local Thai community in Northeastern Thailand. This project, TACTUS Thailand, has created economic opportunities through education, training and workshop facilities. She hopes to scale and replicate this project in the future. Her mission, to honor handcraft through sharing knowledge, bridging connections and creating a platform for communities to grow.
