India Head – CX Design Solutions

India

Deepika is a distinguished personality & a design evangelist in the Indian Design industry. With almost two decades of experience working in enterprise space, both within India, and many different countries worldwide, she has contributed substantially in identifying and improving the User Experience & Design of Products & Applications. On the professional front, Deepika has worn hats in multiple sectors – Technology, Consumer, Telecom, Healthcare, and Banking & Finance; and has worked for marquee clients such as Cisco, HP, McKinsey, CEMEX, Virgin Red, Unilever, 3M, Sony, Fifth Third Bank among many others.
She has independently set up at least 3 design studios from scratch and is managing a cross-functional, interdepartmental team of globally distributed UX & UI Designers. Deepika has been a Titan Jury at Design4India – a prestigious All India Design Awards, a Speaker at Sify’s Growth Forum for Startups, served as a Jury & Panelist at The Design Village’s student selection program, both as a Speaker & Panelist at UX Now, a Speaker at NASSCOM India Internet Day & at NASSCOM Product Conclave (NPC) – North, and at Unicom Design Conference, along with many others.
She takes pride in the fact that she was able to penetrate a male-dominated set up by being the only woman member in some of her speaking
opportunities. With a honest desire to send the elevator back down, she has mentored Startup Teams under the IIT Mandi’s Startup Incubator Program, nurtured young minds through TiE’s TYE (TiE’s Young Entrepreneurs) Program, taught at Doon Business School as a visiting lecturer, and conducted multiple design sessions and workshops at The Design Village. At an international level, she led a 1.5 month long Design Course for the students in Cambodia, on a special invitation from the Royal University of Phnom Penh, Cambodia. No one really grows alone, and thus community upliftment is always vital to Deepika. She is a patron of the Delhi NCR Dribbble Design community and also heads the north chapter of BeerUX meetup. Additionally, she has facilitated multiple UX Meetups over the years to foster interaction amongst designers.
Not to turn her head away from her social responsibility, she is a Pinkathon runner – highlighting women’s health, is a Street Artist for Awareness, the Presiding Officer in her organisation for Prevention Of Sexual Harassment in the workplace, and also financially backs Kickstarter campaigns that help design innovators to move forward on their ideas. Though it seems a lot has been covered, but she believes there are still many miles to go before she sleeps, and she endeavors to make those miles worth every second of her life.
