I work in Dubai, UAE as a Production designer/ Art Director and Food Stylist. Although this is not fine art related but as a visual artist my job on the film/still set is to bring things to life and make it believable. I have worked my way up after my stint at NIFT Mumbai; I worked in Bollywood as a wardrobe stylist and then moved to Delhi and later to Dubai. Over the years, growth as an independent artist in this huge Media industry was challenging and the only way up- I thought was to engage in multi-disciplinary roles. Thus, I started doing food styling, then art direction and now as a Production Designer my job is to build, budget and manage a team of wardrobe stylists, food stylists and art directors for shoots. Having worked in all these verticals over the past 19 years, what makes me different from other Producers is my ability to bring in my own expertise into each of these.
