Clarissa Rios

“Clarissa Rios is an experienced researcher and scientist with more than 10 years of experience in conducting multilateral scientific projects who is currently finishing her Ph.D. in Australia. She did her bachelor in Peru, followed by exchange studies in Finland and a master in Biomedicine and Neurosciences in Sweden.

She is passionate about social development, her vision is to empower Latin-American students and promote the social and economic development of Latin American countries. Therefore, she is the Founder and Director of the social enterprise: Ekpapalek (www.ekpapalek.com) which offers free programs for professional development to all latin students and professionals.

Clarissa is also an advocate for gender equality, she is one of the Global Champions for women economic empowerment 2015-2016 of the platform Empower women from UN Women. As a champion, she is directing “Ekpapalek Mujeres”, a project for empowering women in Latin-America through talks, workshops and online campaigns.”
