Clara Arpa is a Spanish businesswoman and social entrepreneur with more than 25 years of experience in management administration posts of national and international companies. Currently she is the CEO of the family business “ARPA Equipos Móviles de Campaña”, leading the Spanish company based in Zaragoza since 2010. The firm, founded 50 years ago, is one of the top five companies in the world in its sector. Specialized in the development of full projects for the Defence, Health, and Emergency sectors, ARPA designs, manufactures, sells and deploys logistic field solutions to anywhere. Its services range from modular construction and field hospitals to infrastructure complements such as water treatment, sanitation, waste management and feeding integral solutions and also cutting edge technology for massive plug and play communication system. With a particular interest in sustainability, Clara is the founder and chairwoman of the Innovation Centre for Sustainable Development, CIDS. Working directly on 5 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, CIDS collects the innovative ideas generated in business and society to boost worldwide sustainable development. She serves on the Board of the UN Global Compact and on several professional business associations. Her business activities and social work have been rewarded by several awards in export, internationalization, corporate excellence, etc. The most recent is the Cross of the Military Merit –white distinction– which was awarded in 2019 by
the Spanish Ministry of Defence. Clara Arpa was born in Zaragoza, Spain, graduated in Work Relationships and with specialization courses made in International Cooperation and in Corporate Social Responsibility, both from the University of Zaragoza, Spain. She speaks English. Clara is married and has three children.
