Chiko Matenda is a Lifestyle Business Coach, Digital Marketing Strategist and Business Consultant for Female Entrepreneurs and Small Business Owners. She also has the experience of operating as an Independent Contractor and Business Coach for a Global Digital Marketing Business Company. She considers herself a global citizen due to her upbringing of being born in the U.K., spending her childhood in Malawi and growing up in the U.S. including studying abroad in International American Universities. She is dedicated to contributing to good causes which add more Social Value and Social Entrepreneurship Skills for young girls and women including. She is a part of a Leadership for a charitable organisation known as MoreThanAid which is dedicated to helping girls in Malawi to fund for their own education with the support of Malawian Women. She recently became a Prince’s Trust Mentor for Young People interested in gaining Entrepreneurship Skills and developing their own Social Enterprises. Topic: Life Vision Planning & Lifestyle Business Design (Digital Marketing) Chiko recently established CfM Elite Business Women Club which is at its inception and is intended to help women to learn how they can fulfil their Life Passions and Lifestyle Business Goals with the assistance of Digital and Internet Marketing Tools. She comes from a Leadership and Management background of working for and with Charitable Organisations and Local Government. She helped over 350 Small Business Owners to improve the quality of their services and to ensure they met their regulatory and local authority contractual obligations. During her professional career, she had Managers that motivated and believed in her ability to achieve greater career opportunities. Every two years in a space of 8 years, she managed to progress further in her career from working in Front Line Services to Management Positions. This progression was also due to management staff trusting her leadership skills and creative ability; in developing new systems and processes for new departments including establishing a Domiciliary Care Agency, Supported Housing (Project Management Work) from inception to completion. In addition, she was designated roles such as being a representative for the Local Authority for the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS), Member of Quality Management Leaders, Chair for Local Authority Supplier Forums, Strategic Lead in Contingency Planning/Emergency Planning with Senior & Executive Management of Local Government and National Regulators.
Chiko studied Economics and Business and a Post Graduate Course in Existential Psychotherapy in University. Also Certified as a Licensed Business Consultant in the Digital/Internet Marketing Field. Her education and professional skills enabled her to gain the confidence in trusting and believing in her key strengths and abilities. Chiko decided to escape 9-5pm work-life after experiencing personal life adversities including bereavement of her closest family members (dad and sister) and following being diagnosed with a Musculoskeletal wide spread Chronic Pain Condition known as Fibromyalgia. These life adversities propelled Chiko further to start designing her ideal Lifestyle Business. As a result, of taking this leap into becoming an Entrepreneur she was has been able to manage her well-being and health more effectively than she would have done in a permanent full time professional career. Instinctively, Chiko felt strongly in fulfilling her life vision goals earlier in life.

Being independent has also afforded her the opportunity to focus more on creative hobbies she enjoys most such as; Lifestyle Blogging, Vlogging and Content Creation. She now uses these skills to educate and add value in other people’s lives. She is drawn to mentoring women and to assisting them in actualising their true potential. She also believes that women have got a lot to offer in adding more social value in the Digital Marketing and Tech World and in breaking down some of the barriers of inequality in the sector. The involvement of more women is essential especially in contributing to innovation and future direction of Digital & Technology space.
