Chanel Wiese is a graduate of the Anderson School of Management with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration with a Minor Study in Economics. She spent the last summer of her Undergraduate study interning for General Mills at their Global Headquarters in Minneapolis, MN. Currently, Chanel is pursuing her MBA at Anderson School of Management and working as an Operations Specialist in the UNM Dining & Food Services Department.
Chanel was a semi-finalist in the 2016 Miss New Mexico Pageant under the Miss America system as “Miss Sandoval County.” Her Miss New Mexico platform was The Triple-Bottom-Line: People, Planet & Profit. She is passionate economic development in her home city of Albuquerque, and hopes to contribute to the cultivation of a unique identity and a sense of authenticity where young people can feel like they are part of the decision-making process. In her free time, Chanel enjoys serving on the Board for Global Ties ABQ, working on local elections, listening to podcasts, saying “yes” to new experiences, and meeting new people.
