Catherine’s career has covered strategic HR leadership, transformation, and communications, as a consultant, and in roles in the public, private and private equity sectors. For five the last five years Catherine was Group HR Director for Interserve Plc one of the world’s foremost support services companies, annual gross revenues of £3.6bn, 80,000 employees in 40 countries and one of the UK’s top 20 largest private sector employers. Catherine created the role of Group HR Director and led the transformation of the HR and CSR agenda defining direction in areas including culture change, leadership, early career talent, and diversity and inclusion. Before joining Interserve, Catherine was Group People and Communications Director at BMI Healthcare, UK’s largest private hospital group and has held senior HR roles at BAA, the BBC, Sotheby’s and Aviva. She has worked as an HR and change management consultant with KPMG and SHL Group. She is on the UK Board of the Global Fund for Women, and a Governor of the Place, the UKs leading centre for contemporary dance. She was recently listed in the ‘FTSE 100 Women to Watch’. Catherine has a BSc in biology, MSc in organisation behaviour and is an accredited coach with the ICF. Catherine regularly speaks at conferences in the UK and Europe on leadership development and culture change. Catherine is now running her consultancy business supporting organisation change, HR strategy and executive coaching.
