With 20 years of experience in the public and private sector, she has worked in the Business Development area for Latin America of Citicorp Information Technologies in Bangalore- India, as Assistant to the Presidency of the Banking Association of Colombia and First Secretary in the Ministry Foreign Relations of Colombia. Her most recent experience is in the international risk rating agency Standard and Poor’s (S&P) where she held the position of Associate Director in charge of evaluating electricity, oil and gas and infrastructure companies in Latin America. During his work at S&P, he was part of the sovereign risk and public finance analytical team in New York City – USA.
She is currently Executive Director of Ventures Corporation, an entity dedicated since 1999 to promote the creation and growth of sustainable business projects in Colombia. She also serves as an advisor for the Colfuturo Emprende program, aimed at strengthening entrepreneurship among the beneficiaries of that entity and for Columbia University on strategic internationalization issues.
Carolina is Fulbright Scholar and Colfuturo Scholar. In 2009 he completed her Masters in International Relations at Columbia University in New York City (USA). In turn, she has a postgraduate degree in Economics from the University of Barcelona (Spain) and an undergraduate degree in Economics from the Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá (Colombia). She also studied Social Change at Stanford University (USA).
