I have a Degree in Sociology (Pre-Bologne, with five years); a Master in Social Sciences, in the speciality of Family and Social Systems (Pré-Bologne, with three years); and a PhD in Social Sciences, in the speciality of Social Policy (Bologne system, of three years).
The main areas of my research are: Sociology of the Family, Psychosociology of the Family (parenting, single educator); Education (adolescents’ behaviours in middle schools, socialization in families and schools, certification of professional competences of Adults (New Opportunities Program – Recognition, Validation and Certification of Competences – RVC, lifelong learning); Social Policies (families, young people, schools); Social, Economic and Cultural Inequalities.
I have professional experience in High Teaching, during thirteen years, in the fields of Sociology, Psychosociology Contemporary Thougth, Science Philosophy, Social Sciences, in diverse disciplines, levels and Courses, namely in public and private Universities, in Coimbra and Lisbon. I have training activity, in Recognition and Validation of Professional Competences of Adults (RVC) and in higher education Courses.
I participated, as speaker, in national and international Conferences.
I have some national and international publications, namely in the themes of Globalization and Modernity (2000), Psychosociology of Family (Parenting, Single Educator (2002), Contemporary Thougth (2007), Social Theory and Crises (2018). I am a founding Member of the Portuguese Association Live With Earth, for the Global Sustainable Development, by Actions in Portugal
