Carla Castelo

I was born in Lisbon, Portugal, in 1970. I studied Social Communication/Journalism at Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas – Universidade Nova de Lisboa and I began my career as a journalist at Público, a national newspaper, in 1991. Since 1992 I work at SIC Television Network. I follow mainly social and environmental issues. In 2005-2006, I took a postgraduate course in Environmental Sciences and Technologies at Faculdade de Ciências – Universidade de Lisboa. I coordinated television programs such as “Terra Alerta” (“Earth on Alert”) and “Economia Verde” (“Green Economy”). I received the National Environment Award “Fernando Pereira” from the Portuguese Confederation of Environmental Non-Governmental Organizations in 2014.
