Canada Finds India to Be a Great Teacher Release of a Report on Indio- Canada Cooperation for Women Empowerment in the Developing World By ALL

March 2, 2013; New Delhi: A report on “Indo-Canadian Cooperation for Leading Women Empowerment in the Developing World,??? was released in New Delhi by panelists comprising Dr. Harbeen Arora, Global Chairperson, ALL LADIES LEAGUE ; Ms. Mannu Sandhu, India-born Canadian actor and winner of Miss Universe Canada 2011; Ms. Terri Wingham, CEO, A Fresh Chapter Foundation; and Mr. Mark Halliday, a Canadian Documentary Filmmaker. Dr. Harbeen Arora said, “India and Canada have so many common linkages-a caring culture and belief in education. They can collaborate for preventing violence against women and ensuring their better social and economic status, globally.???

Ms. Mannu Sandhu, Chapter Chairperson of ALL in Vancouver, said, “Filmmakers of both countries can collaborate for making meaningful movies. We are working at ALL, Vancouver to get tax benefits for them.??? Ms. Terri Wingham, who is also a young cancer survivor, said, “India is a great teacher of values and women carry these values the most. Educating women can bring in tremendous change. We need to find ways to engage younger women and girls. Industry and governments should offer generous scholarships to girl students.??? Mr. Mark Halliday said, “We should tell the touching stories of women to the world and television channels should come forward in support of such initiatives by individuals and women associations.???
