She is the founder of Arise Women Botswana which was formed after being inspired by Indian women during her International tour. She studied Empowerment of Women through Enterprise Development in SMEs. She is the Chairperson of ALL LADIES LEAGUE Gaborone Botswana Chapter, Founder of Miss Tourism Botswana and Botswana Culture and Design Week (BCDW) She will be launching her Women- Travel Business TV Show soon. Kgomotso attended the US-Africa Summit 2016 in Ethiopia as a Note Taker Volunteer . She traveled Europe, East- West- Africa and Asia with the mission to promote Botswana and benchmark in women entrepreneurship. She is active in cultural fashion shows, arts,crafts designs and liaise with countries to invest in Botswana She is a banker by profession, she worked for Standard Bank Botswana, Barclays Bank Botswana, Botswana Savings Bank, Banc ABC Atlas Mara and Debswana Pension Fund, she Free lanced in Broadcasting of Radio Schools Educational Programs (Science for Standard 6) students in Radio Botswana. Her passion on entrepreneurship focuses on SMEs in Botswana, to promote entrepreneurship among women mostly in rural areas and thereby empower them to join the economic mainstream to enhance their status in the society.Susanne Swaniker-Tettey
Susanne’s career, which started in 1994, initially as an auditor with Deloitte, but more recently as a finance professional has exposed her to a wide range of industries. Company re-organisation and finance process design is one such area of expertise that Susanne has developed throughout her professional accounting and finance career. Susanne is currently the Chief Financial Officer with Okavango Diamond Company, a diamond trading company, wholly owned by the Government of Botswana. Susanne obtained her Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) qualification in 1998. After 10 years in the audit field; having risen to senior audit manager level, she left the audit sector to join industry. Ever-hungry for knowledge, in 2005, Susanne went on to obtain an M.Sc. in Accounting with the University of Glamorgan (Wales, UK) and in 2008, an MBA with Oxford Brooks University (Oxford, UK). Susanne has recently completed the Senior Executive Development Program at the London Business School, UK. With the last 12 of her career in the mining industry, Susanne has worked extensively across the mining sector in Botswana. Being passionate about staff development, Susanne leads, trains and motivates her team to develop into independent finance professionals. Susanne is a Fellow of the Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA) and is a member of the BICA technical committee. As a Fellow of the ACCA, her professional progression has been featured in ACCA’s Accounting & Business (International Edition) and Accounting Futures Magazines. She has also been profiled on the section of the ACCA website specifically aimed at inspiring prospective students to become Chartered Accountants. As a family person, when she’s not ‘crunching numbers’ you will find her in her kitchen cooking up a storm.
