A resident of Delhi, Betsy has a background of having worked in the travel trade for over 27 years designing unique journeys and helping travellers make the most of their holidays and cultural immersion for India and the subcontinent.
With a background in operations and sales, Betsy has worked her way up with several reputed travel organizations in India to eventually set up her own niche company “The Travel Grail”.
A Postgraduate in Management, Betsy presents the country, in the most imaginative and memorable way possible. She earned a SITE certification from the Society of Incentive Travel Excellence.
Through her travel business she tries to promote the cultural and uniqueness of India by way of special interest tours focussing on traditional crafts, textiles, folk arts, cuisine and festivals. She tried to reach out to remote artisans in far flung areas and introduces them and their skills to discerning clients thus helping them supplement their income, even if in a small way.
She is also a firm advocate of sustainable tourism firmly believing in using small properties who actively practice minimizing the negative and maximizing the positive effects of all forms and activities of tourism on the environment, local communities, heritage and promote inclusive economic growth
Her most memorable travel experience is seeing how the non-schooled women of a village near Jodhpur make low-cost solar cookers as part of self-reliance solutions for village communities.
She believes “Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer”.
