Since October 2017, he has been the Representative of UN Women in Mexico. Between 2013 and 2017 he served as a UN Women Representative in Colombia where, under his direction, he was accompanying the historic peace process that this country experienced and the support for the participation of women and the promotion of a gender approach in construction of peace, this process being one of the highest level of inclusion of women.
