Born and brought up in Guwahati Parents P.G. Baruah and Rekha Baruah. Joined the paper in 1989….introduced the features section along with my sister Bonita Baruah. I have developed Sunday reading followed over the years by Horizon, the culture pages, Panorama and Mosaic, the special supplement for children – Planet Young, and most recently Campus, for students….became Director and joined the administrative side of the Assam Tribune Group of publications in … I assist my father P.G. Baruah, the MD of the newspaper group in the day to day running of the newspapers.
She has also written two tele serials for PPC NE DDK, translated short stories from asomiya to English etc.
