Arman Ali

Arman Ali is a leader of social enterprise and presently heads Shishu Sarothi, Centre for Rehabilitation & Training for Multiple Disability as the Executive Director.
Under his able leadership, Shishu Sarothi could forge ties beneficial for persons with disability and the organisation, taking it forward with a proven track record in early intervention, rehabilitation, education, employment, advocacy & awareness as well as protection of rights & legal aid for children and persons with disabilities.
His erstwhile assignment was with Infosys as head of its Equal Opportunity Initiative (HR Specialist).
He is a member of the Technical Advisory Committee on child labour of the Labour Welfare Department, the Executive Council Member of Asom Sarba Siksha Abhiyan (ASSA) and the Executive Council Member of the Rashtriya Madhyamik Siksha Abhiyan (RMSA), Government of Assam. He has also been a Member of the Child Welfare Committee, Kamrup (Metro) for two terms.
Arman is an avid shooter and has won accolades as a Renowned Shooter by the National Rifle Association of India. He has also won Gold position in the 4th and 5th North East Zone Shooting Championship held in 2016 & 2017.
He is a recipient of various awards namely, RotaryLiteracy Hero Award 2016 for exemplary work in ensuring better education to children with disabilities, the IBN7 Super Idol Award 2011 for his services towards the welfare of persons with disabilities, Infosys Excellence Award for Inclusivity and Diversity from Infosys for the year 2007, Outstanding Individual Award for the Year 2007 from Atma Nirbhar – Ek Challenge, a non-profit organization working for people with disabilities, the National Award in Public Recognition for Outstanding Performance as the Most Efficient Disabled Employee for the Year 1998 by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India from the then Prime Minister, Shri Atal Behari Vajpayee.
