Anupama Madhok Sud is the Director and Editor of Water Digest. A Postgraduate in Environmental Sciences, an MBA with almost 18 years of experience in the Environment sector, especially Information, Education & Communication (IEC) and Outreach, she is heading the Water Digest magazine. Water Digest is one of the few organisations involved in the dissemination of information and updates to the water industry. We bring the latest water-related research, technology and news from around the world to our readers in the country via our magazine, web portal, Twitter handle and YouTube channel.
She has guided the magazine in arriving at a position where we not only interview industry leaders as well as policy makers involved in the water sector, but they also look to us for information on networking and connecting within the fraternity. She has expanded the scope of the magazine to create a platform where both government and private players can meet to discuss solutions to the water problems that the country is facing. She has taken this mission abroad as well, having represented the magazine and India at various international water-related forums like Singapore International Water Week (SIWW), Aquatech Water Week, Amsterdam, IFAT Munich, Germany, IE EXPO Shanghai. She has worked hard to make Water Digest the premier magazine of the Indian water industry and have also added some accolades like “Best Electronic Print Newspaper” by MoWR now called Ministry of Jal Shakti and “The Best Media Outreach in Water” by ASSOCHAM, and as the best brand by 6th Worldwide Excellence Awards, on international platform in Malaysia. The efforts were recognized by ASSOCHAM and she received the “Best Women Leader of the year 2019(Water Sector) award, presented by Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani, Union Minister, Ministry of Textiles and Women & Child Development.
She is also a Member in the Consultative Committee of M-CIPRAW (Maharashtra- Centre for Innovation, Progressive Regulation & Awareness in Water) which the Maharashtra Water Resources Regulatory Authority has created. The purpose of the Centre is to promote innovation in the Water sector, push regulatory measures with a pro-active approach ensuring complete acceptability by the stakeholders and create all round public awareness about the growing importance of Water. She is also a member of ASSOCHAM Water Council.
