Antara Banerjee is the author of the books ‘The Goddess in Flesh’ and ‘To be a Woman’. She writes and speaks in English, Hindi and Bengali. Being a philanthropist, motivational speaker and social commentator who has been well covered by the media, she had been invited to various prestigious forums like TiE, Times Bloggers Meet at AKLF, Rakshak Debates, Gorky Sadan events, Bhawanipur Educational Society, South City International School among others to speak and deliberate on varied topics. She is also the Club Secretary of the Rotary Club of Calcutta MILLENNIUM and the Head of Women Empowerment Committee at Rakshak Foundation. She is an experienced and qualified Designer and Art Director who has been attached with the Advertising and Communication industry for more than a decade. And also has a brief stint as an Educationist in an international school in Malaysia.
Masters from the prestigious Goldsmiths College of London in Image & Communication and a graduate in Political Science from Presidency College, Kolkata, she has moderated book launches, debates, panel discussions and poetry meets with much success. She has also been invited as a judge at various educational institutions like the Interschool Shakespeare Festival at South City International School, to the annual concert of St. Michael’s Academy, annual prize distribution ceremony of YWW Media etc.
She has also been instrumental in organizing and managing hi-profile events with eminent personalities like His Excellency, the Honorable Governor of West Bengal, His Excellencies, Consul Generals of the US, Germany, Nepal, China, Belarus, Honourable ministers, Sri Subrata Mukherjee, Janab Firhad Hakim, Vice Chairperson, WB Minorities Commission, Prof. Dr.. Maria Fernanades, literati and academicians like Sri. Subodh Sarkar, Prof. Dr. Suman Kumar Mukherjee, Prof. Maidul Islam, Sri. Biplab Dasgupta et al.
