Anshu Prakash

Mr. Anshu Prakash, currently serving as additional secretary & financial adviser to the Ministry / Departments of Rural Development, Drinking Water & Sanitation, Panchayati Raj and Land Resources in Government of India, belongs to the Indian Administrative Service. He has extensive administrative experience with association in the health sector of over 10 years. In his last assignment as joint secretary in the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, he was handling various programmes including on mental health, major non-communicable diseases such as cancer and diabetes, emergency medical relief and disaster management and public health. The final draft of the new Mental Health Bill was approved for consideration by the Parliament during his tenure. Earlier Mr. Anshu Prakash has served as principal secretary, Health & Family Welfare for Government of Delhi, commissioner and secretary, Health in Arunachal Pradesh and in Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
