Director - Category Marketing & Corporate Brand- Coca-Cola
I have a work experience of 20 years, largely in the field of Marketing, and have worked extensively in all key areas, such as Brand development, Launch strategy, Category Management, Retail strategy and promotions, Creating Advertising, Consumer behavior, Client Engagement, Market Research and In-market implementation of Programs. I started my career as Assistant Brand Manager at Procter & Gamble and have since gathered rich work experience in Sales and Marketing across companies such as Gillette, Nokia, and The Royal Bank of Scotland. I have completed my B.A (Hons.) in Psychology and my M.B.A with a specialization in Marketing. I joined Coca-Cola in 2011 as Category Director, Marketing - Coca-Cola, and headed the Brand until April 2014. During this period, we developed and deployed Coca-Cola’s Must Win Battles, working closely with our bottling partners, and shaped the brand and creative strategy of making the Coca-Cola promise of “Being the Happiness Icon” relevant for India. I then moved to the role of Executive Assistant to the Business Unit President and Director – Strategic Initiatives. In this role, apart from assisting the CEO in all key tasks and initiatives, I led the key Strategic Initiative for the Company of “Refresh 2020/Promoting Trust” within our category. I am now Director - Category Marketing & Corporate Brand for India and South West Asia. With category headwinds growing, we are putting together a framework to focus on Category Marketing & Growth, Defense, and Advocacy for our products and business. My extra-curricular passion is music. I am the lead singer of our Band, “Mid Life Crisis” (a band comprising of people from the corporate world who have a passion for music), and we perform in concerts around NCR. Our last show was in Hard Rock Café.
