Simmi Puri has over 25 years of experience in the field of education, training and consultancy. She completed her graduation from St Stephen’s College and her Masters from the Delhi School of Economics, and started her career as a lecturer in economics in Delhi University. Thereafter she worked as a trainer in Germany and Hong Kong, in the field of information technology and cybersecurity. She is a certified professional in Information Security Risk Management, Business Continuity Management, and Privacy. Currently she is a director at CISO Cybersecurity (CISO) -backed by The Statesman- which has innovated an EdSec platform (digiProctor) to foster inclusive education by enabling quality online education and testing to the remotest corners of the nation.

  • Designed and conducted IT training workshops at the Princeton Center of Hong Kong Communication Art Centre (HKCAC) and the English Schools Foundation
  • Raised cybersecurity awareness through a unique program called ‘Bridge the Gap’- an end user cybersecurity awareness program for corporates and government
  • Conducted Professional Development program (PDP) – Tech in Teach - hands-on workshop that empower educators to infuse digital technologies and tools in teaching
She is the Founder of ‘unHack’ –a Pan-India Cyber-awareness program for Schools initiative to empower students, educators and parents to harness the opportunities provided by digital technologies, inculcate digital ethics and to ‘stay safe online’. She has addressed issues related to gender parity and ‘digital divide’ and is a member of the core committee of the ASSOCHAM Women Foundation (AWF) which has launched many initiatives to empower women.
