Kintla Striker is the CEO of Kintla Yoga LLC, and the creator of Kintla Yoga Therapy®, a trauma-informed, empirically supported, heart-centered, choice-driven, mindfulness based yoga therapy designed to empower healing in trauma survivors. She is a trauma survivor herself and has dedicated over 30 years of her life to understanding how the body, mind and spirit heal. Kintla currently maintains a private and group client practice in Michigan. She conducts speaking engagements and facilitates Kintla Yoga Therapy® workshops and trainings nationally and internationally. She also serves as a Program Builder/Partner with the Integrative Medicine division of Unitus Therapy Intelligence. She has been interviewed about her work in print, radio, and television, as well as the feature length documentary, Break the Chain. Kintla’s trauma-informed yoga therapy has served survivors of combat-related trauma, sexual assault, domestic violence, childhood physical and sexual abuse, neglect, human trafficking, medical trauma, chronic illness, and cancer. She also acts as a research investigator with the Clinical Psychology Department of Michigan State University, and is a Michigan State University Community Partner. Kintla’s personal experiences, work with survivors, study, data collection, education, and involvement in cutting edge research in the fields of trauma-informed yoga therapy and mindfulness practices assure the highest quality trauma-informed yoga therapy available in the world today.
