Khadijatu Mansaray is a writer, activist and independent publisher. Creating a portfolio career by successfully combining her financial career with her interests in journalism and social justice. She is the founder of Sondiata Global Media, a publishing house for the African diaspora and Nefertiti Reborn, a women’s leadership blog. Her projects include Books Not Babies, which helps teenage mothers get an education. The project also helps under privileged girls get an education and teenage mothers go back to school. As a journalist, she wrote for Ebola Deeply, a substitute for News deeply that covered the Ebola epidemic in West Africa. She also hosted a radio show, which helped the diaspora to engage with stakeholders to find solutions to Ebola crisis in West Africa and was part of the Sierra Leone UK Diaspora Taskforce. She was also a trustee for the Diaspora Voluntary Alliance and was one of the Diaspora Changemakers of 2014, selected by the Royal Society of Arts.
