Dr. Anna Huysse-Gaytandjieva

Dr. Anna Huysse-Gaytandjieva graduated Medical University. She did her post-education in Public Health at Maastricht University, the Netherlands, where she worked as a researcher, did her PhD and is still lecturing.
Dr. Anna Huysse is a creator of Hashimoto.help initiative which facilitates early detection of Hashimoto thyroiditis and brings it to remission via evidence-based e-health services.
Autoimmune diseases are the leading causes of death among women worldwide. Hashimoto thyroiditis is an autoimmune disease. About 2 % of the population is suffering from Hashimoto thyroiditis, where 80 % of those are women. There is no cure available.
Based on her own experience as a Hashimoto patient herself and the work with people with autoimmune diseases in the last 15 years, Dr. Anna Huysse is committed to pass over everything she has learned and support others. She hopes to be able to contribute to the scientific knowledge in this area.
