Anju Mattou Razdan was Born and brought up in Srinagar (J&K), Anju did her schooling in the heart of the valley at Mallinsons Girls High School and her B.Sc from the University of Kashmir. She further gained proficiency in fashion design from Delhi followed by PGDM from IMT Ghaziabad. With a keen sense on safe environment, pursued a UN programme in Solid Waste Management. The programme of preparing the youth of Kashmir is her brain child. Initially a program across the valley of Kashmir, in areas like Shopian, Baramulla and Pulwama, using art workshops as an ice breaker, in an area more known for conflict and disturbances. Anju took The Zabarwan Foundation, into the terrible floods of 2014 in Srinagar, to set up two relief camps. The Zabarwan Foundation, found its settling ground in Pulwama, where various activities of bringing the young, in formative ages of 13-14 years, into believing in their potential. Conducting psychometric analysis camps, soft skill training has helped batches of children. Her pilot project of a Digital Centre at Pulwama is close to taking off soon, it would power the young generation to a new world of opportunities. Her pilot project was supported by Mr Ratan Tata’s personal intervention through the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust. Her mission is to bring the children to realise their potential, despite the unrest.
