Anet Azadkhanian was born and raised in Tehran, Iran. She started playing chess professionally at the age of 8 and went on to play for the Iranian Women’s National team. During her professional chess career, she won hundreds of competitions and honors competing internationally on major stages around the world. Currently, she holds the title for top 100 Women Blitz Chess players in the United States and is ranked in the world. At the age of 18, Anet was accepted into the prestigious law school of Tehran University. Concurrently in 2006, she was offered an Austrian citizenship to play for the Austrian Women’s Chess National Team where chose to begin her journey to the US. Facing a number of obstacles moving to a new country she set her sights high and decided to follow her dream to start her own business in the US. She continued her education in engineering in Los Angeles, California. In 2013, Anet received her degree in Civil Engineering and graduated with high honors from California State University of Los Angeles. Shortly after, she began working as an Associate Civil Engineer and worked her way up at the company. In 2018, she started NOA Advanced Design, where she designs residential and commercial buildings in California. Her passion for philanthropy and social impact continues to lead her to start and participate in projects that provide housing for low-income families.
