Andhra CM felicitated Women Achievers in Hyderabad
January 31, 2014; Hyderabad: : “We have given utmost priority to the welfare and education of women and girls in our policy formulations,??? said N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh at The ALL LADIES LEAGUE Hyderabad Women of the Decade Achievers Awards held at The Taj Falaknuma Palace. He further added that the change should begin from the home. He said, “To change the hearts and mindset of children and the youth, change has to start from home and there should be no discrimination between boys and girls.??? The CM presented the awards to sixteen leading ladies, including Industry Minister Dr. J. Geeta Reddy and Tennis sensation Sania Mirza, among others. A Fashion Show on Royal Heritage of Hyderabad was also presented, where Soha Ali Khan was the showstopper and also received an award for supporting women’s cause. At the Award Function, Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy was also felicitated with special award for Excellence in Public Service. While presenting this award Dr. Vinay Rai, Founder, Rai Foundation, highlighted the exponential growth Andhra Pradesh has made over the years and had become a hub of creativity and innovation. Dr. Harbeen Arora, Global Chairperson of ALL LADIES LEAGUE said, “Our vision is to inspire excellence in every woman through the power of sisterhood and the power of inspiration that we receive from one another.??? She further added that, “ALL is proud to honor a phenomenal league of eminent women connected to Hyderabad. The contributions of these illustrious women have gone beyond their State as they inspire many women to come forward and participate in shaping the society to lead the change.??? Suman Ghalot, Chapter Chairperson of Hyderabad Chapter, ALL said, “The Hyderabad Women of the Decade Award is a fitting tribute to their spirit, determination and the contribution they have made in their chosen fields, and become role models for all.???
