Ana Cristina Garcia Escalante

Ana is an international student from Mexico attending New Mexico State University and pursuing a Master of Arts in Cultural Anthropology. Being an international student has made a positive impact in her life by experiencing the cultural diversity that exists between two different countries, alongside the opportunities given to her in school and in her career. She is a graduate assistant for the Provost office at NMSU and part of her job duties are being part of the Diversity Board on campus. The Diversity Board allows her to represent the International Student Organizations who create events representative from their own countries for the NMSU community. Ana hopes for her future career to be able to bring together the beauty of every culture and share it with the world. During her education and career, Ana has been inspired by many incredible men and women that had made her always pursue what is best for her and to try every opportunity for new adventures.
