Dr. Amany Ahmed is Assistant Professor of English Language & Literature who earned my BA “Honors”, MA & PH.D from Faculty of Arts, Ain-Shams University with general mention “Excellent “. My special field of interest is Women’s writing in the Restoration Age comparing them to contemporary female dramatists. My academic career started in 1983 as a Teaching Assistant carrying different academic and administrative responsibilities since then till the present time.
I have been affiliated with the “Eccles Center for American Studies” in the British Library, London through the Fulbright Commission in 1995 for my doctorate degree. Moreover, I participated in the “British Association for American Studies” Conference held in Selwyn College, Cambridge,England.
I was on a secondment to Taibah University, AlMadinah AlMunawarrah,KSA from 2005-2014.
I held many positions during those years being the Deputy-Head of Dept. of Languages & Translation for 7 years. In addition, I was the Head of the Academic Guidance Committee while applying the Credit Hour System for the first time and the coordinator of the English Diploma program. In 2012 I was chosen a member of Quality Assurance & Academic Accreditation of Faculty of Education.
Upon my return to Ain-Shams University in 2014, I was appointed as the “General Coordinator of the Credit Hour System” in Faculty of Arts comprising of 12 departments and in 2015 as the “Manager of Languages & Translation Section” related to Vice-Deanery of Social Affairs & Community Service, Faculty of Arts, Ain-Shams University.
Other than the academic & administrative responsibilities, I am the Founder and Admin of FB “Seeds of Happiness” Group.

We share in charity campaigns to the poor villages assisting the needy families there with wooden ceilings water supply and food parcels. Our activities extend buying important medical equipments to governmental hospitals, assisting female in debts and
lately we started “Seeds of Happiness Small Projects for Female Heads of Household” assisting two female breadwinners.
Social Solidarity is as vital and important as teaching and interacting academically with the youths.
