Allegro Dinkwanyane is a South African born entrepreneur and media personality. In October 2011, Allegro launched her entertainment website Orgella Entertainment, followed by her PR & marketing agency Orgella Communications. She is one of the youngest owners of a 100% black owned media company in South Africa. Allegro enrolled with the University of Johannesburg in 2009 to study a B.A Journalism Degree. She went on to further her studies at the University of Cape Town studying Social Media & Digital Marketing. Recently, Allegro added a philosophy qualification to her already impressive list of academic achievements.
Before becoming fully self-employed in 2012, Allegro freelanced at TRACE Urban & TRACE Sport Stars as a Journalist, PR Manager, Social Media Manager, and Interviews Manager from 2012 and resigned in 2014 to focus on her growing media company. Her experience as a Journalist, Blogger & Publicist has earned her great reputation in the local media and entertainment industry as well as across Africa. In 2013, her entertainment website Orgella Entertainment (www.orgellaonline.com) was nominated at the 2013 Africa Social Media Awards. For someone who first started her career shadowing wellknown TV and radio presenters, going on to intern at the BBC (Africa), Allegro is making her mark as a young entreprenuer.

At the young age of 27, Allegro is well on her way to becoming one of the youngest media moguls to come out of Africa. Sharing the same sentiment Forbes Africa recently recognised the millennial as one of 30 of Africa’s leading young entrepreneurs and future billionaires, featuring her on the prestigious Forbes Africa 30 under 30 list (2017). The list features 30 of the most promising entrepreneurs from around the continent and across various sectors. In January 2016 Forbes Woman Africa recognised the young entrepreneur as one of Africa’s youngest female media business owners on the rise. Adding to her already impressive list of accolades, Allegro was also a finalist for the 2017 Business Women’s Association of South Africa Regional Business Achiever Awards. A qualified journalist, Allegro also sits on the board of directors for “The Journalist”. The Journalist is a ground breaking media project that provides history and context for key issues facing South African journalists. Since its launch in August 2014 they have provided a combination of first-rate storytelling with contextual detail, so often missing from contemporary stories.
