Aisha Baabood is a social entrepreneur who strives to promote social entrepreneurship in Oman. Additionally, she is a co- founder & the executive director of the White Hands Center for Assistive Technology & rehabilitation which is the only that is specialized in assistive technology & Irlen Syndrome. She is the only Omani Irlen Syndrome Screener. Furthermore, she has won 5 SME Awards; 3 of them were awarded for her social contribution by Omantel in 2014 and the other by Al Zubair in 2015. Also, she won Al Ma’ra Excellence Award for Social Responsibility in November 2015.

Academically, she has MA degree from Sussex University in International Education with a minor specialisation in the curriculum development & teacher Education. She served a lecturer for 10 years at Sultan Qaboos University. She had many memberships in many committees such as the ELT conference, ELT Exhibition, Social Committee, Community Services and the Promotion Committee. Moreover, she was member in many associations that serve the disabled community.
She is an advocate parent and activist in the disabilities rights, who is trying constantly to implement the disabled laws and raise awareness in the community with regard to the disabilities.
