Recent lines of investigation: gender museology, theoretical museology and sociomuseology, gender in art.
Concluded the Ph.D. in museology in 2011 with the thesis “Sociomuseology and Gender. Images of women in Portuguese museum exhibitions.
Masters Degree in Museology and a Degree in History.
Since 11th January 2016 she is the director of the National Museum of Contemporary Art.
Vast experience in curating exhibitions, in the development of museological projects, museological collections management and museum management.
Member of ICOM – International Council of Museums- and ICOFOM – International Committee for Museology, and member of the board of APOM – Portuguese Association for Museology- and of MINOM – Mouvement International pour une Nouvelle Muséologie.
