Media & Communication Professional, Why Shy

India

Aditi Rindani is a complete communications package, rolled into one! She is a Masters in Development Communication and that is exactly what she is pursuing too – using media for development.
Aditi is a Media and Communications professional with over 8 years of professional experience spanning radio, print, television and theatre mediums. Amongst all that she has been doing, her heart lies in Radio. She was an RJ for Radio Mirchi, a leading radio station in the country for more than 4.5 years. Currently she is working with Endeavor Careers’ Branding Team (an organization into coaching), Radio Nazariya (a community radio station) and apart from that, has some freelance projects on her desk.
Media and Gender
She is a Global Shaper (and the current Vice Curator for the Ahmedabad hub) at the World Economic Forum and is an active part of the project MenTalk at her hub, which aims at Gender Sensitization. Under this project, the team hosts a Radio Show on Radio Nazariya to reach out to more people about the cause. Aditi has trained the first batch of facilitators for the show. The team also does workshops with young students and the ultimate objective is to create a curriculum on Gender. This is where combining the knowledge for various mediums of communication and the cause comes into picture.
Collaborations like radio for gender, social media for gender, creative handbooks for gender are all made possible. She records stories on gender for a portal called ‘The Kahani Project’ as well. Aditi is also one of the only 30 selected from across the country selected for a fellowship called ‘She creates change’. Her petition for this fellowship is to remove gender referencing from school curriculum.
Aditi is the co-founder of a venture called ‘Why Shy’ – as the name suggests, it aims at creating a safe space for dialogues about taboo topics. It looks at being a platform for platforms – aggregating the details about various organizations working for a similar cause.
Apart from these, Aditi has worked for Doordarshan for more than 2.5 years – as a writer and an anchor. She has written articles for various national and international publications. On the other side of her lies acting! She has been a part of Gujarati and Hindi theatre. Aditi does short films as well – one of her initial films won at the India Film Project. She has been invited to various institutes of repute for imparting the knowledge of her communication skills.
Aditi has to her credit the honor of being one of the only four Indian fellows to be invited by the US Government for a Professional Fellowship Program. She was also one of the only four selected from the city to attend the India Economic Summit by the World Economic Forum. She has also attended Climate Reality Training by former US Vice President, Al Gore in Los Angeles.
Aditi does voice-overs and gets into the role of an MC / anchor for various organizations and corporates.
Who says Jack of all trades can be master of none?
