Partner at Range Gallery

Kolkata, India

Growing up in Kolkata as a Parsee Zoroastrian, I absorbed the best of both cultures. My love for art, reading and theatre from the culture-loving Bengalis. My love for all things old and precious from the small but amazing Parsee community. My hobbies include reading, pottery and yoga.
I call myself an art entrepreneur, because of the eclectic nature of my shows.
After getting my Masters in English Literature, and a B.Ed., I ran a book shop. About 10 years ago, I founded Tejas, a small affordable art gallery. We flourished though the ‘art depression’, mainly because we dealt with young upcoming artists. Today I run a very large contemporary art space, but I still promote young upcoming artists as the future of art is literally in their hands.
Contemporary art knows no boundaries in terms of medium, content or style. Along with these ‘new media’ shows, I keep traditional art, folk art, ceramics, anything that speaks right from the heart of the artist and touches the viewer.
