Dr Joyeeta Bhattacharjee is a Senior Fellow in the Strategic Studies Programme at the Observer Research Foundation, India’s leading think tank. Dr Bhattacharjee country’s leading foreign policy analyst has been leading many research studies on India’s neighbourhood policy, connectivity, border management, regional and sub-regional cooperation, gender and foreign relations. Various international media including BBC and New York Times regularly quote her research and views. Besides, she also published many book chapters, journal articles and contributed op-eds in various international and national newspapers, magazines etc.
Dr Bhattacharjee is widely travelled. In 2016, she was selected as the Foreign Policy Fellow under the International Visitors Leadership Programme of the State Department. In 2015, she participated in the COP-21 at Paris. She is the co-founder of Jookto, a pan Indian Socio-Cultural platform with the motto of connecting people through culture, arts, education and sports. Dr Bhattacharjee holds a PhD from Assam University.
