Established the first Specialized Department for Retail Banking along with a comprehensive set of financial products and a marketing policy that enabled the bank to dominate a big share of the market in a quite short time.
Participated in the preparation of the first Credit Policy of the Social Fund for Development issued in April 2005 and intended for small and micro enterprise finance.
Chaired the task group that introduced the Direct Lending mechanism’s regulations and procedures due to the fact of the importance of diversifying SFD’s funding channels and financial products.
During the period between 2013-2016, about EGP 10.5 billion was injected into small enterprises, which is equivalent to approximately 52% of the overall funding injected by SFD since its inception up till the end of 2016 .
Diversified funding channels and financial products introduced by Mrs. Gamea for financing small enterprises is “the provision of finance through Financial Leasing Companies” on account of the significant role this sector is playing in attaining inclusive economic development.
Diversified financial products for small enterprises, Mrs. Gamea participated in the preparation of the first investment and venture capital policy of the SFD, and contributed to the launching of the first funding programme targeting innovative entrepreneurs and creative enterprises, whereby SFD contributes a share to the capital of these enterprises, acting thus as the first provider of such service in Egypt.
She was able to extend the services provided by MSMEDA, as the total funds provided since the inception of the entity in April 2017 until 30th of Sept. 2019 reached about EGP 13.250 Billion financed 599K projects and created 921k job opportunities.
For Non-financial services, Mrs. Gamea induced a comprehensive development of such programmes, in addition to the extended efforts to execute entrepreneurship programmes in order to spread the concept of self-employment as part of MSMEDA’s strategy.
She has a great role in setting/ designing innovative mechanisms and initiatives to activate governmental programmes regarding imports substitute, Deeping the local component in the Egyptian industry, and exports promotions by increasing its competitiveness.
Mrs. Gamea also, studied the issue of industrial clusters the government willing to establish, as she suggested to allocate certain units in these industrial clusters for projects that intended to deepen the local component in the Egyptian industry. In addition, she directed MSMEDA to design specialized financing products with smooth conditions to support such industrial projects.
She had a great role in coordinating efforts with Ministry of International Cooperation, to avail needed funds for MSMEDA, in order to enable the later to accomplish its mission. As she was able to attract about USD 500MM to be allocated to micro and small enterprises finance.
She was selected as the most influential governmental leaders according to Forbes list.
