Amritha Basanth

Mrs. Amritha Basanth is currently the Director of UKF College of Engineering & Technology, Kollam, Kerala. She is also the General Secretary of the Trust- Universal Knowledge Foundation. She has pursued her engineering degree from University of Calicut with fourth rank and has completed her Masters in Nanomedical Sciences from Amrita University. She has started steering the wheels of the institution at a young age of 25.She is also one of the Directors of India’s top Renewable Energy Infrastructure Development Company – Kshema Power & Infrastructure (P) Ltd founded by her father Dr.S.Basant. Kshema Power which has employed more than 300 engineers across the country has helped her set the vision of UKF on what is expected out of a graduate engineer. Her father who is a visionary and above all , a teacher turned green energy entrepreneur has always been the guiding light of the institution.UKF known for its innovative approaches in engineering education has emerged as one of the most sought after engineering institution in the state amidst the lowest enrolment trends in engineering education in the recent years.
