Celeste Simao

She was born on 09/18/1963, is from Golegã and has long been welcomed in Abrantes as if it were her own city.
In her academic career, she graduated in Education in the area of Sociocultural Animation by the Jean Piaget Higher Education School, took her Master’s degree in Educational Sciences from the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, University of Lisbon and currently attends the PhD course in Educational Sciences at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
She has been a Physical Education teacher at the C + S schools in Tramagal and Golegã, teaching and in charge of the Schools: EB1 of Sardoal, EB1 of Malarranha (Municipality of Mora), EB1 of Amieira Cova (Municipality of Gavião), EB1 Vale do Bispo Fundeiro and EB1 of Fazenda (Municipality of Ponte de Sor), EB1 no. 2 of Abrantes and EB1 of Ponte de Sor, EB1 of Galinheiras (Lisbon). She was also coordinator of the EB1 School António Torrado, Abrantes.
In her political career, from 2006 to 2009, she was Municipal Deputy for the Socialist Party in Abrantes and assumed in 2009 the function of Town Councilor of Abrantes City Council with the areas of responsibility of Education and Social Development in her charge.
