Since I can remember 2 questions keep me busy; Who are you? and Why do you do what you do? It has led me to study humanity with the main question of what the meaning of life is and how to give as much quality as possible to life, for yourself and for others.I am Danielle Pascal Verzijl-van der Sande, born in 1970, married and mother of 2 sons (born in 1999 and 2003). I have been working in a partnership of my own for psychological and psycho-therapeutical care since 2006. My clients are aged from seven to seventy-plus and I work with them on all sorts of requests for aid, either physical, mental, emotional, or psychic requests. I visit my clients at home, or I see them in my own practice. I visit schools, institutions and places of work. In those years, I have helped numerous clients with my services and I am proud to get many referrals from professionals, institutions and private persons. I must say that I am very pleased to be working in such a beautiful profession. As a caregiver, I uphold my ethical code, the oath of secrecy and confidentiality, keeping the privacy of my clients at heart. As a result, I sometimes feel limited, because I cannot bring clients with similar problems in contact with each other. This often supports their -incorrect- idea, which is that they are facing their problems all alone. For this reason, I have decided to start working, next to my practice and under my given names Danielle Pascal, as a writer, speaker and motivator. This allows me to build bridges between cultures, problems and unrests in society. It is my goal and my mission to start discussions, create a podium for social themes and emotionally charges subjects, and to transform these. I do this both commissioned and on my own initiative. I have done interactive lectures at Yarden (national funeral services organisation) about suicide and its impact on society; at Humanitas (national volunteer organisation) about the impact of society on suicide. Furthermore, during the peace festival at the
‘Verzetsmuseum’ (Resistance Museum) about limits and guarding your limits within relations. Then, at the ‘Inspiratiehuis’ (House of Inspiration), a lecture about identity and the meaning of life. Finally, I did a TEDx Talk about sexual abuse among young people during their steady relationships
