Snigdha Sheel

Snigdha Sheel is the cofounder of Phototantra. Her company has has been offering photography and cinematography services all across the globe to clients from different walks of life. Her company has shot some of the very high-profile weddings including the wedding of Hollywood actor Kunal Nayyar and Atorney General of India’ s son’s wedding. Ms Sheel is listed as one of the top 5 wedding photographers in India by Conde Nast Traveler and she is among the first few women who decided to step into a very male dominated industry of wedding photography. Her company currently employs people from economically weaker section who have got trained on the job. An avid traveler, foodie and adventurer who has hiked a glacier in New Zealand, travelled to freezing Iceland with an infant, a 5 year old daughter and old parents one of whom is an ALS patient, enjoyed the company of sharks and stingray along with her then 4 year old daughter in the Maldives. Ms Sheel is an ardent animal lover and regularly feeds strays and helps various animal shelters. In her personal life Ms Sheel has battled an abusive marriage, struggled with post partum depression which later got diagnosed as bipolar disorder. Currently she lives with her 2 adorable children, a very loving husband and business partner and 3 dogs.
