Shamila was employed in the Marketing and Communications Industry for over two decades and acquired vast experience and knowledge in her field of expertise. She occupied senior management roles in various organisations and also represented these organisations at Board level.
Her qualifications include:
-Public Relations Diploma (P.R.P) from the Pietermaritzburg Technical College,
-Marketing Diploma from Unisa,
-BTech Marketing degree from Unisa,
-MBA from Unisa Business School (SBL) in 2011,
-Management Development Programme (MDP) certificate from GIBS,
-Leadership Development Programme (LDP) certificate from the Standard Bank Global Leadership (GLC).
– “Published author.” Her book – “Marketing tools and strategies” was published in July 2013.
-Certificate through Unisa: Department of Psychology in 2015, in “Capacity Building’ focusing on rural areas.” – obtained

She has two registered companies, Famram Solutions (marketing and communications solutions) and Famram Foundation
(empowering, uplifting and providing CSI solutions enhancing socio-economic development). Having worked with communities for over a decade, she realised there was a dire need to research the menstrual cup as a sustainable solution for menstruation because impoverished girls miss school for up to 7 days in a month. Early in 2016, she launched her own PrincessD Menstrual Cup which is cost-effective, eco-friendly and hygienic. Currently the product is available in 20 countries and 50 pharmacies in South Africa. To date she has changed the lives of thousands of school girls “keeping girls in school”, having handed out/educated girls in 22 schools in South Africa through corporate funding. Accolades in 2016: She was a semi-finalist in the Emerging Entrepreneur Category of the South African Council for Business Women Competition. In August 2016, she was chosen as one of 50 women to receive the Panache’ Woman of Wonder (WOW) award. She was a finalist in the Margaret Hirsch Achiever of the Year. She was a nominee in the Woman: Real Architects of Society Special Award for the “Unsung Heroine” Category), where she met Caster Semenya, double Olympic Gold Medalist. She acquired Caster as a co-owner of Famram Solutions in January 2017. Accolades in 2017: She was recognised by Champion South Africa as the Champion of the Week in July. She was nominated in the Standard Bank Top Women Entrepreneur Award. She was nominated in the Business Woman’s Association (BWA) Awards – Social Entrepreneur Category. She was a finalist in the Top Performing Entrepreneur of 2017 in the National Business Awards. She is an awardee: Centre for Economic & Leadership Development (CELD) : Global Female Leadership Impact Award 2017 Dubai; Centre for Economic & Leadership Development (CELD) Induction: Global Women Leaders Hall of Fame (GWLHOF) 2017 Dubai; and has been featured in the January 2018 special Edition of Amazons Watch Magazine as the the Top 100 Most Influential Women in Emerging Economies.Shamila is a person with a positive mindset that tries to motivate and inspire people on a daily basis. She launched a
Facebook page called “Motivational Quotes by Shamila Ramjawan” in May 2016 and there are almost 30000 followers on her page which she intends publishing into a book. She is a hard-worker and does not give up easily when trying achieving her goals. She is a driven, dynamic and energetic person who continuously thinks out of the box and her purpose is to
make a difference in peoples’ lives. Her motto is “The sky’s the limit, Dream Big”.
