Shamala Antonio BA Hons Social Work, has worked Within child protection and safeguarding for a Local Authority. Dip Life Skills Coaching, Dip Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care, Level 2 Mentoring.
Soon to undertake Level 5 qualification In Leadership and Management, Have worked as a Support Worker for several years working With various vulnerable groups such as; victims of domestic abuse Within a specialist music service, looked after children, young people With challenging Behaviour, homeless young people, those With mild mental Health issues and offenders.
I am thoroughly passionate about tackling Social injustice and advocating for young people. My community interest company is called Impact 4Life and we provide a Holistic Care and well-being service for disadvantaged young people and Care leavers across Birmingham and the West Midlands aged between 16 and 25yrs. Among many things, Impact 4Life is committed to ensuring smoother transitions for Care leavers, increasing Skills and knowledge Within young people, equipping young people With Skills and knowledge to maintain and sustain independent tenancies and ensuring more holistic positive outcomes for young people.
