Born into an Air Force family, I’ve had a fair share of growing up across the country and having friends of many cultures and religions.
My first job was at 15, selling credit cards. At 16, I added mobile phones to my menu.
While I had enjoyed the selling experience but needed something to satiate my creative hunger.
I started designing wrought iron accessories, furniture and cushion covers under the brand “Knots & Krosses” at 20. I would retail them at home stores in the city.
My love for retail drove me to become a design entrepreneur.
In 2008, I set up Atelier Homes in Pune. Atelier Homes, started as a 1000 sqft home store in a quaint by lane on the outskirts of Pune is now a 5000 sqft home decor boutique in one of Pune’s premier residential areas.
Atelier exists to bring the best of home decor under one roof. Atelier hosts a curated collection in curtains, upholstery wallpapers, bespoke furniture and decor.
Today, Atelier is Pune’s premier home decor destination, patronised by the industrialists, HNI’s of the city.
The highest point of my creativity so far was designing Urbane, which went on to win accolades and awards. I sketched it’s design while flying over a beautiful sunrise over the South China Sea.
Moving on, as an interior designer and then as a parent, when I set out to design a child’s room, I realised that there is no ready product in the market that I could buy for the the room.

L’Orange has furniture, curtains, cushions, bed linen, finials, tie-backs, decor, accessories, rugs everything for a child’s world.
We aspire to make every child’s room a L’Orange room.
The destination where one can design and build a room and its’ furniture for your child. Designs that will grow with the child over the years.
We aim to make the brand a truly onmi-channel business as our website will be the tool for sales in our stores as much as enable online sales.
