Rocio Cano, graduated lawyer from the Autonomous University of Baja California, México, holds a Master’s Degree at Laws (LL.M), specialized in Constitutional Law, from the Universidad Iberoamericana México, where she´s currently pursuing her second Master´s in Public Policy and Management.
Throughout her career, she has served in the federal public service, particularly in the protection and defense of Human Rights, currently working in the National Commission of Human Rights, autonomous public agency of the Mexican State.
Regarding academic activities, she teaches at post graduate level at the National University for Advances Studies; she has served as Coordinator of the Master at Laws program of the Universidad Iberoamericana México, institution where she also taught and was head of various educational subjects such as General Theory of Law and Human Rights theory and protection.
Speaker in numerous forums including Mexico´s House of Legal Culture of the Supreme Court of Justice, especially on topics related with Human Rights protection and Crime Prevention. She has graduated from several training courses primarily in the area of Human Rights and Migration from Complutense University of Madrid.
She´s a founding member of the Association of Law Studies of Baja California, which brings together professionals of legal science whose primary objective is to contribute to the diffusion of legal issues.
Finally, she was recently recognized by the Confederation of Lawyers of Mexico for her notorious career as a lawyer and teacher.
