Renu Basu

Renu Basu, Global Vice President – Sales, Taj Group, The Indian Hotels Company Limited, dynamic leader in the hospitality industry for 29 years. She has been associated with the group in various capacities and has a fulfilling and valuable association with The Taj Group of Hotels. In this position, as part of the management committee she oversees the global sales organization of the Taj Group, which consists of more than 250 senior global sales associates. Renu began her career with Business India in 1982 and joined Taj in 1986. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Degree in Law from Mumbai University and a Diploma in Marketing Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies. She has also completed a General Management Programme from Michigan Business School. Active in the corporate world and travel trade, she is a Member Rotary Club of Mumbai; Director BBG and served as Chairperson – Western Region Council of CII – Tourism committee; Chairperson – Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry; and AMFEST. She is quintessential peoples’ person with a great passion for the profession, travel and contemporary art and is truly proud to be part of the Taj Group and the TATAs.
