Accomplished wedding and events planner, with a track record of delivering creative design themes in a variety of urban, countryside and international venues, highly satisfied clientele and many repeat customers. Co-Founder of Sumyog Wedding Planners, which has been in business since 2005, we are an elite one-stop-shop for all wedding planning and execution needs. We were the first end-to-end wedding planning company in Chennai.

Prior to Sumyog, I have founded and run many businesses including supplying embroidered wedding clothes to a London-based bridal boutique; bespoke Indian haute couture comprising saris, salwar kameez and other ethnic wear serving clientele in the USA, Singapore and the local Indian market; running a unique boutique catering to the needs of women, children and the home.

I have held corporate positions with multinational companies, where I have helped set up internal libraries, researched and published productivity studies with recommendations for performance improvements.

I am a freelance writer, contributing articles to well known publications.

The following is a select list of my publications.

Recommendations for primary and secondary education, presented to the Government of India.

Published many articles and ghost wrote several speeches on the status of women in India, for well known charitable trusts and prominent speakers.

Published the book “Dig Vijayam” for Sri Sathya Sai Trust.

Contributed a weekly column to the Madras Plus supplement of the Economic Times. The column ran for over a year and was called “Chennai visitor”. It featured prominent personalities from theatre, art, music and business worlds.

I enjoy composing poems, writing skits and performing as an EMCEE at events.

I love music, singing, travel, reading and visiting old temples.

I have a BA in Sociology and a Masters in Library and Information Sciene. I have done a certificate course C, C+ programming at the NIIT.

My favourite saying is “I shall pass this way but once, any good that I can do, any kindness I can show, let me do it now, for I shall not pass this way again”. Sumyog gives me ample opportunity to live out my life in accordance with this quote.
